You had an opportunity to redpill with a list of sources in support of your statement. It would've at least slowed the banhammer to 1/4 impulse power.

What is your source for your comment?

I have read numerous things over time that show that Jews were disproportionately involved in the slave trade, by the numbers it was a very small minority of whites compared to the proportion of Jews that were slave owners. It is not fair at all to say that slavery was a "white" thing when so few white people actually owned a slave whereas the average Jewish household had at least 1 on average.

At the end of the day he could have asked for proof or something - went straight to censorship. If im wrong about this then show me evidence that is what .WIN is about. Also, in the posters original comment he said basically the same exact words about whites that I said about Jews but I was banned for violating rule 2 of omegacanada and he wasn't.

No racism or antisemitism.

You’re going to learn real quick that facts and the truth are pretty racist and anti-Semitic.

What is really funny here is that one of the most notorious and sick slave traders was a black man. William "April" Ellison. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgVxc9aLs14

Goes to show that not all were necessarily jews, nor that ethnicity or nationality played any real part in individual coices on how one chooses to live their life, or make their choices. We should focus on individuals and their actions, and not prescribe trends to total populations of people. Some native american tribes were the most brutal of slave traders, and were responsible for some of the most horrific acts against even their own kind, let alone how brutal they were to those they had enslaved.

I agree with judging the individual, the problem is that when it comes to whites that is not applied at all even white Canadians are being blamed now for slavery and we were the end of the underground railroad. Noone in my family or any Canadian family I know of owned a slave and we came here a long time ago.

But what do the jews have to do with that? Maybe it is specific individuals, who may happen to be jewish, that are the ones to blame. Not their descendants, and certainly not an entire population of any particular demographic. We shouldn't be playing the "everyone belongs in a particular box dut to (insert random reason here)" game. That is divisive and diversionary, and plays into the elitists hands by making everyone separate themselves along (insert random demographic trait here) lines, and destroys our capability to respond in a rational and unified manner to tyranny.

I agree with you, it was a quick comment in response to a discussion about Canadian whites being slavers which is obviously the same issue your outlining. We weren't. In the end censorship of a view you don't like or even a view that is wrong isn't correct. If he thinks I'm wrong he could have argued or disputed but they didn't they just censored it.

I agree with on the do not censor standpoint. But if we just throw out "that is not true!, it was <them>!" line all the time, we (rational people of all walks of life) lose our credibility to a logical arguement.

Well, I sorta just asked for proof and I got a vague diatribe. What did you read? Sourcing is important to proving your point on the internet.

I think the main thing here is that banning rather than asking for proof is the issue. If he had done what your doing I could have provided evidence in the forum where that evidence is relevant to the discussion but I wasn't afforded that chance.

The original poster made the same comment about whites and didnt have to verify that.

The biggest proponents of slavery in Canada were natives.

He didn't have to defend his comment either and wasn't banned. I was banned for saying something about Jews that is said regularly about other races and was never given the opportunity to argue the point even.

I understand. People get twitchy if you say "the jews".

I have no opinion either way, and personally wouldn't judge Jewish people for the actions of some Jewish slavers even if it was true because I understand that life has nuance.

I was just curious if the lack of sourcing could have been the issue or if they were maybe twitchy.

I've never been to the site, so I can't estimate the flavor of the community.

I tend towards being open minded on information. It only gains value over time of it proves correct.

The platform as a whole seems heavily pro-jew, sad.

Also relevant since I doubt he was banned as well for the exact same comment about natives.
