the lyrics don't necessarily "mean" anything to me, i just happen to know the song sabotage and thought this added another layer of rich irony to this bullshit misinformation advert. i was around 9 or 10 when it came out i think- it was a major hit song so i kinda knew the basic lyrics already. i would imagine the ad is also aimed at males in my general age demo.
it's just weird that the implication of the ad at face value is that trump sabotaged his own economy with the coronavirus and shutdowns, etc. that is beyond mental gymnastics and into stuff that defies the laws of physics at a crouching tiger, hidden dragon kind of level.
