My 31 year old cousin just hung herself a few days ago. I am not sure if Covid played a factor, but I can't help but think it didn't help her mental state. I don't believe she had suicidal thoughts previous, and she left 2 very young children behind. (Single mother also)
Edit: thank you for the positive comments. She and I didnt really have much contact as adults. I only knew her when we were kids. But still, all these suicides are so sad. I really can't help but wonder if all this stuff with lockdowns had an effect on her.

My cousin is a counselor for at risk teenage girls. She says their mental states have completely crashed over the past months. She’s frightened for them and is doing everything she can.

Utterly awful. I feel for your family. The questions never end in your head even though you know you will never get the answers.
