I am going to say something that is going to be unpopular. Paedophilia should NEVER, and I mean never be acted upon, but we need to change how we look at paedophiles, so we can actually save more children from assault.
Gay people have a sexual orientation disorder, but this is not a problem because gay adults can consent.
Paedophiles have a sexual orientation disability. We should have more preventive measures in place that let people who realize they are paedophiles to get help privately without stigma. Whether it's voluntary chemical castration, or simply counseling and support to keep them accountable, we absolutely need to look at this different. This could save many children from would be predators.
