I know this was discussed, but I haven’t seen anything lately. Aside from being an idiotic premise, it would be hilarious if they had to give them to Trump.

On the serious side, solid red states should add constitutional amendments to prohibit that kind of idiocy.

just imagine being a voter in that state and having X candidate win your state. then they declare the other guy the winner because California says so... don't think that would end well.

I’m familiar with the faithless elector. I have seen that contemplated, but never done. Most people with a nickels worth of sense know that a faithless elector may soon be a lifeless elector. What is your point? That they’ll just ignore the ‘votes to the popular vote winner’ part of it suits them?
