Like the title says, I was talking about going to a trump rally this week with my wife and my seven year old daughter wants to go see the president speak desperately bad. I do want to take her but don’t want to expose her to an environment that could be toxic (protesters, angry leftists etc). Never been to a rally and is it appropriate for kids?
Depends on your area. If antifa might show up then probably not. I've taken my kids to a few political rallies in San Diego. But protesters generally don't show and the cops are serious if they do.
There's a possibility that they will never see a president that we all support this much in history. I would go.
Yea, we do try to censor our kids from seeing the ugly but in reality they need to see it to become aware. It doesn't do good to censor them. I wouldn't mind a couple antifa losers yelling and stuff at us but what concerns me is how violent they are.
Saw lots of kids at all the rallies ive been too. Bring em!!!
Do it
The rally itself is a very secure environment. Issues if any would be the route to the rally and your route home.
route home would be fine, comment below about waiting around might be a concern.
I’ve taken my daughter to 3 Trump rallies. Once when she was one in Dec ‘15. And then 2 this year, Jan 30 and Oct 14. She was 5/6 respectively. Trump rallies are for all ages.
i wouldn't
Why not?
I took my 8 year old. The only creepy thing is all the waiting around. By the time Trump spoke my son was a sleep lol
I offered a ticket for the next rally to my 16 year old daughter.... She really wanted to go but had a prior commitment.... Not gonna lie... I was thrilled she wanted to go but for her safety I didn't exactly press the point.
Truth is... I'd prefer to go with larger adults.
