There was a guy in the office at an old job of mine who wore socks like that. Somehow his ex wife ended up working there too at one point and she told us all at lunch one day that she always hated the socks he wore and would call him “fag socks” at home whenever they would argue. Of course after that the whole office would refer to him as fag socks. Of course this was like 12 years ago before everyone lost their minds whenever someone said the word fag in public.
