Announce publicly that the repairman story was a lie, and it actually came from the same trusted source that leaked Trump's tax info, then just wait and see who gets suicided from the IRS.
I think hunters business partner (who flipped) gave the laptop for safekeeping to the MacBook repair person ... probably didn’t even tell the tech anything... then when the time comes to use it as leverage... he tells Giuliani where it is ... that’s why Biden camp are loosing their shit... this came out of left field and they have no clue on how to handle it.

Hunter sought out the repair man with the INTENT of entering into a contract for repairs. There is nothing nefarious in that on the repair man's part. Hunter is liable and the contract IS binding.
