Harambe was the guerilla at the zoo that they had to shoot because the shit mother let her unattended child fall in. Harambe was apparently guarding the child, but was a threat so they shot/killed it. There was a ton of memes about it, and 'dicks out for harambe' was meme'd into existance, although I don't recall why.

It wasn’t the mother’s fault. The enclosure should be built in such a way that children can’t just fall into it.
