A lot of younger pedes dont really grasp how influential this man has been to freedom.

15
Ryoten 15 points ago +15 / -0

I'm 36. I know how influential he is. The man is literally a prophet/seer at predicting what the left is going to do.

Without Rush Limbaugh, there is no President Trump. No Tea Party, effectively no more 2nd amendment, no party revolution against the Mitt Romney's of the world.

During the 90s, Rush Limbaugh was keeping the lights on, for all of us, until the Internet could get going and we found our own voices. Had it not been for him, the American conservative movement would have been smothered in its crib before it had a chance to defend itself.

He may legitimately be the most consequential media personality of the last century.

I first caught his tv show waaay back. Some friends of mine showed it to me. I cant imagine what channel it was on but we didn't exactly have remotes back them. Maybe it was a paid block on our local pbs channel?

Ran into one of them recently. We still agree on political issues. Thank God for Rush.

His show used to be on fox back in the. You can still find some episodes on youtube and they are awesome.

3
ThurstonHowell3rd 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah, it was on Fox. I watched it. Back in the early 90s, I think?

1
tankmanban 1 point ago +1 / -0

early 90s then. Was pretty simple but edgy compared to the big networks.

2
ThurstonHowell3rd 2 points ago +2 / -0

'92-'96, according to IMDB.com.

One thing that I remember from the show was when they showed a shot of the studio audience all the men were dressed in suits like they were sitting in church. I thought that was a bit odd, but maybe that's what the producers wanted.

He knew he had to straddle that fine line between truth and RINOs until a real leader showed up. It's almost as if Rush's mission in life was to prepare the way for President Trump. Now that he held the line, his cancer has shown up

He has mentored at least 50 more to be just like him, in small AM radio markets across the US.

Why would you listen to Rush instead of Alex Jones?

I like Rush and he has helped many people to wake up but man is he bluepilled asf

Like your grandma is legit more red pilled than Rush

14
Libertas_Vel_Mors 14 points ago +15 / -1

Why would you listen to Rush instead of Alex Jones?

Because Limbaugh didn't talk about lizard people and illuminati, for starters. He stuck with the known and factual. He spoke of what could be done, and how to do it. He educated countless pedes throughout the 1990s on how shit really works in government, and how to fix it.

I'll happily place Limbaugh right up with PJ O'Rourke (author of Parliament of Whores) as two of the people best able to translate the bullshit that is our government, into stark and undeniable English.

thebassdude 2 points ago +2 / -0

If you haven't already, read Holidays In Hell by PJ, one of my favorite books of all time.

-5
MAGACAP -5 points ago +5 / -10

The way Rush brings information to the audience is just so painful. Alex makes it fun like a comedy show and you learn shit the same time

Rush works better in book form. I read his How things ought to be this summer and its kinda crazy how similar things are and the questions being raised today and the book is from 80's

And the lizard thing btw is more David Ickes stick. Alex uses more of the interdemensional demons thing which is true and can verify if you do drugs, meditate or read the bible. In a way though if you were to raise the question if we are in a simulation anything could be true.

3
AtomicShnoz 3 points ago +4 / -1

Is that you Alex Jones, is this me?

3
Vino 3 points ago +3 / -0

Rush started talking about a global one world government, only after Trump was elected. I love the man, but he started sounding more like AJ, after Trump was sworn in. Couldnt agree more pede.

I like Alex and listen everyday, but Rush is more effective for the more average joe listener who thinks Trump tweeting is a bad thing.

My childhood was full of Rush Limbaugh. Every time we got in the car to run errands with my mom, Rush was always on. I remember him as early as age 6.

And now my kids listen to him in the car when we run errands. They can recognize Rush’s voice and Dan Bongino’s now. God bless Rush for paving the way and running the race!

He is a hero, fighting so hard for America. Keep fighting hard for your life Rush.

Just in case He's on here. Thanks for the education Rush and Gulf War 1 Dittos. Reagan, Trump and yourself have probably set the communist back 30 years from accomplishing their ultimate goal. This country owes you more than can ever be repaid. Thanks again.

Prometheus76 6 points ago +6 / -0

He also had a late-night tv show that ripped on Democrats every night, and the audience dressed nicely (men in suits, women in dresses). I can't imagine any tv station that would even think about airing this now. Comedy is dead.

Here's an episode that is still on youtube, to give you a taste of what it was like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLTZPzY607E

I was in the Navy and freshly voted for Bill Clinton because I thought he was cool. Buddy subscribed to the Limbaugh Letter and I started to read them every time he got one. After a few months I realized how much of an idiot I was and have been a conservative ever since. He's always been a huge influence.

I was literally a long-haired, dope smoking, maggot infested, young skull full of mush when I started listening in 1994. I was working a labor job and no one could agree on a music station so the foreman chose talk radio and it changed my life for the better.

4
Dudemanfoo 4 points ago +4 / -0

Ditto... but I listened because I had no FM radio in the big truck I was driving and he was the only thing constant no matter where I went.

KRM944 3 points ago +3 / -0

Never forget his kid books. Rush Revere!!

2
Ryoten 2 points ago +2 / -0

When he dies, im going to quickly buy all of them for when and if i ever have kids.

2

Just beat you to it! My son is 7

-2
LosPepesContra [S] -2 points ago +1 / -3

Yup. Great books that kids enjoy. Though I doubt Rush actually wrote them. But his seal of approval is good enough for me.

1
FullAutoFlintlock 1 point ago +2 / -1

shut your whore mouth, he was very proud of writing those with his wife.

1
KRM944 1 point ago +1 / -0

He was a HUGE part of the writing. I remember listening to him talk about the publisher wanting him to do another book- He didn’t want to do a book - but somehow he and his wife talked about doing a kids book.

Makes me sad that after all his hard work, he may miss the Great Awakening after the election... prayers for his family

2
muppeton 2 points ago +2 / -0

I've known him since I was a kid only because it was my dad's favorite radio show and he would always have to tune in during any road trips we took.

2
CommieCrats 2 points ago +2 / -0

I want to be on am radio!

2
RocketSprocket 2 points ago +2 / -0

Like an all-time great hitter, the entire lineup of an AM Radio Station is built around the Rush timeslot. Whoever is the lead-in before him and whoever comes after his show ends must be a conservative. In a place like Chicago, that's a tall order, but they must at least pretend to be conservative or not take calls from listeners who will call them out.

2
ThurstonHowell3rd 2 points ago +2 / -0

Rush is one of the few conservatives that actually know how liberals think. He knows what their goals and motives are and frequently educates his audience about why they are doing one thing or another, and then will explain why it won't work and what they will try next. He knows his enemy so well that they have hated and tried to get rid of him for 30 years. His radio show and it's millions of listeners is proof to conservatives all across this nation they they aren't alone, regardless of what the mainstream media would want you to believe.

2
RufusPillula 2 points ago +2 / -0

A coworker turned me on to Rush in 1992, and I am so grateful. Rush showed me and countless others that we should be proud to be conservatives, love our country and honor our heroes and history, and that even back then, we were being lied to by media, Hollywood and the intelligentsia. "The Way Things Ought to Be" and "See, I Told You So" spent a lot of time in my hands and on my nightstand.
I believe Rush has redpilled more people than anyone currently on the planet.

Rush TV 🤙🏼

2
Kavantar 2 points ago +2 / -0

In the 80s man. Rush was even on TV for a bit.

2
Trumpman1 2 points ago +2 / -0

Going to be a huge loss for the right, but hopefully he will be here to see Trump win again, and he should know that he had a lot to do with the movement that saved America. One of the most brilliant minds of talk radio and a great entertainer at the same time. I wish I had discovered him before 2015.

2
BIGDAVE 2 points ago +2 / -0

What a glorious post. I was tempted to steal the entire fucking thing and post it somewhere else just because it's so fucking beautiful . I won't do that to you brother, but just know it moved me and it was spot-on.

2
SavvyEngineer 2 points ago +2 / -0

He also had a TV show that ran on an affiliate in DC at nighttime — after the late news I recall. Was critical of HW Bush and Clinton

2
Smurfection 2 points ago +2 / -0

Rush really is a hero! We should all pray for him.

2
HubbyYee 2 points ago +2 / -0

I grew up listening to Rush on all our drives to the "Big city" of Las Vegas (shows how much of a desert rat I was) so much so that when I found an old AM radio with a Mono earpiece I snatched it up so I could hear Rush and Paul Harvey more.

I was an on again and off again subscriber to the Limbaugh Letter and Rush 24/7 but since leaving America I've only been catching Rush here and there. Hang in there El Rushbo, your life's work isn't quite finished and will not be forgotten by the Rush Babies and Dittoheads out here!

2

Rush was one of, if not the very first one who started "red pilling" me. Much respect to the man.

1
10MeV 1 point ago +1 / -0

I've listened to Rush for just short of 30 years. He has been an anchor for me. I can't count the number of times the media circus has spun up some dire situation, and I've breathlessly waited to hear Rush's take, and see if I'm already thinking what he is about it! The confirmation, that I'm not nuts, not alone, has been almost literally a life-saver many times.

AutumnOfNations89 1 point ago +1 / -0

Rush is in Florida, we should tell him to look into Dr. Robert Morse, who operates out of Port Charlotte on the Gulf Coast, he says you can cure, and not merely contain, just about anything, from cancer, to multiple sclerosis, to macular degeneration, basically ANY disease, with a high fruit/frugivorean diet, herbal formulas and glandulars. Check out the testimonials for yourself. Maybe I'll contact him myself but if someone wants to get to it first, here's your time.
