Grandfather was a lifelong democrat from a deep blue state. He had the same idea that Republicans were wearing top hats while Democrats were down in the coal mines with the working class. When I was in UK for the few years, I heard a few people try to describe their Labour Party the same way. Crazy how some people fall for that idea
