In fact they used this as an opportunity to explicitly state there are no legitimate investigations into Russia interfering in the US right now.
Make no mistake - this was intentional and will be used by the Ds and Big Tech to justify censoring the Hunter leaks. There was no good reason for them to publicly legitimize "muh Russia" right now. They even thanked Google, Cisco, Twitter, and Facebook for their help with busting this "GRU op"...
While I don't underestimate that this could somehow be turned against us, it seems rather that 2 Federal Departments have explicitly disarmed Democrats' ability to pin the Hunter Biden hard drives on Russia.
Those statements will be ignored and the GRU emphasized by the MSM, and the Dems will run with that. I know that's assuming the worst, but given what's happened over the past 4 years (much longer really) I don't expect them not to cherrypick.
