Most people aren’t afraid of death, they are scared for their family.
This. If you're solid in your faith then you're not worried about death, you're very very worried about what you leave behind.
Why? That's a chain to the world. I've been dead. Heaven is terrific. The people you live behind will be fine.
Life is terrific. Death is terrific.
The people you leave behind might not be so secure about that, and you're still leaving them with a hole in their hearts.
