I am upset about yesterday and couldn’t stop thinking about it. You are one of the smartest people I know and it rocked my world to hear you would consider supporting someone who I feel has been so detrimental to our country. I was trying to think of how I was going to articulate my position, and then I read this article this morning ( see link below). It’s long, but please read it. It explains it from the conservative perspective which I cannot relate. I have heard trump is charismatic in person and I couldn’t believe it, but you are living proof. It also represents his transactional he is. When he was voted in, I hoped that he was going to pick smart people around him to advise him but that wasn’t the case. Look at how he derides Fauci.

I don’t think it is about how you feel about a person; you have to understand their policy. As the mother of a gay man and an ex-health care professional, I can’t support Trump’s policies and I am hopeful that he is going to be voted out on Nov 3. Read this article and see what you think.

I really love you and it hurts my heart to think that you can support this man. I suspect you really haven’t been following current events because I KNOW how smart you are and you don’t usually fall for anyone’s BS. Love, E
