Not how our elections work. The party doesn't own a spot on the ballot. He's either in or out.

And lots of early votes already cast

isolepknurd 31 points ago +31 / -0

plus, if it happens then dems are playing with fire.

last time there was chatter of a hillary being subbed in or replacement, Ghislaine got caught in the US and the chatter died down.

GEOTUS

the_thunderdome 15 points ago +20 / -5

Actually (unfortunately) that is exactly how the elections work. If he were to drop the DNC would follow their rules to put another candidate in their place.

but this

https://observer.com/2017/05/dnc-lawsuit-presidential-primaries-bernie-sanders-supporters/

Later in the hearing, attorneys representing the DNC claim that the Democratic National Committee would be well within their rights to “go into back rooms like they used to and smoke cigars and pick the candidate that way.” By pushing the argument throughout the proceedings of this class action lawsuit, the Democratic National Committee is telling voters in a court of law that they see no enforceable obligation in having to run a fair and impartial primary election.

The name of that person would have to be on the ballot, does it not? So the 80 million sent out ballots with Joe Biden on them are useless to dimocrats. BRILLIANT WAY TO GET AROUND THE MAIL IN BALLOTS GEOTUS WTF 68D CHESS

I think he was saying there would not be a basis to redo the vote. The country has a lot of political parties and in the past had 3+ competing with similar voting totals. Just because of our de facto modern two party dystopia doesn't mean they get a redo. They might try however.

This 4chan poster is larping, but there's enough ambiguity for how electoral college electors have to vote that it would be up to courts to decide. Dems would ultimately lose, but it confuses things enough where they'll spend the next four years shrieking about Trump's 'packed court', illegitimate elections, and the electoral college. Pretending this larp is real, creating as much chaos as possible is better for them than losing horribly with a criminal.

ihatespeech 5 points ago +5 / -0

The house members would vote as a bloc for each state. So there would only be 50 votes total and I'm pretty sure Republicans have the majority in more states than Democrats do. Republicans would have the 26 votes to re-elect Trump.

They certainly can. The electoral college is the only votes that matter. And the electors can vote for a new democrat candidate that is nominated.

1

Ha! That didn't stop the DNC in 2016. They just threw Bernie out the door and shoveled Hillary in. The court agreed that they had no obligation to honor the desire of the preliminary voters.

Yawn. Wake me on Nov 3rd.

Also. Biden can't be "replaced" at this juncture. We are in fail safe now. He can stay or drop out. If he drops out, its over. GEOTUS win by default.

Regardless, I fully plan to VOTE in person on 3 Nov with friends. See you suckas at the polls!!

Will you Boomers stop with the stupid 4chan shit. Have you not been fooled enough by it? Do you still not grasp the fine art of trolling?

Relax, dude. Just pop corn and reload. The best you can do with 4Chan posts is treat it like entertainment and a prep for what ifs.

I give 4Chan posts about 20% credibility, because sometimes they're actually right.

Boomers, and probably a lot of net naive Gen Xers, all thirsty for justice, fell hard for Q. They just couldn't grasp the lengths that a competent troll would go to fool them, just for the lulz.

1
sun_wolf 1 point ago +1 / -0

Why do you think General Flynn got fooled by a troll/LARP?

1

Flynn didn't get fooled. He was just tipping his hat to Qanon. Nothing wrong with that.

This is mildly amusing but utterly fake. Biden/Harris are locked in, and Biden won't drop out, though he could always die since he a pretty old geezer. If Biden wins and resigns, Harris would be president.

Hillary Clinton will never be president of the USA. (This larp-ey post was worth it just so I could type that again.)

3
papaMAGA 3 points ago +3 / -0

yeah I highly doubt that. Also I highly doubt they're "scrambling". Based on what we've heard, I think they already knew this was coming. So my guess is they already have a plan to deal with it if they need to. And so far, simply deflecting has worked.

2
2016TrumpMAGA 2 points ago +2 / -0

FFS, how many times does someone have to explain this.

It is too late to put anyone else on the ballot in all 50 states. It's not just a matter of logistics, it is not legally doable. Hillary would have to be a write-in candidate. She would be down by whatever percentage of Ds have already voted for Biden/Harris right out of the gate, plus anyone who voted Biden/Harris after Biden's withdrawal. You'd wind up with Trump winning all 50 states because the D vote would be split.

2
Jaybone86 2 points ago +2 / -0

I’ll eat my hat if this happens.

2
Crlsniper 2 points ago +2 / -0

No it’s too late for that, even if she was an option anymore. closest I see happening for a dem replacement is Kamela because of vp status maybe, though not even sure if that’s possible this late in the game. They’ve thought we had this since last October at least, if they wanted to replace him they had more than enough time to do it, but to late now their stuck with him now.

2
geebeext 2 points ago +2 / -0

How is Hillary going be.... BETTER?

2

1
AdamBomb 1 point ago +1 / -0

Press X to doubt.

Lots of neat theories for a good story, but I trust the deep state and big tech will do anything to keep a lid on everything... and no bodies have dropped yet (that I know of since the HB email scandal became public). Biden has a better chance to win (relative to other Democrats) than anyone else because of the time proximity to the election. In other words, too much early voting from democrats towards Biden (probably will be considered write-in if he drops out) will be canceled if some other ticket pops up... unless Harris takes over the existing ticket with a Joe Biden fatality.

Is it true that if a candidate gets disqualified, it will force a re-do of the whole election? Sounds fucked to me, like if the libertarian candidate gets caught growing weed on his off-grid vacation home, now he's a felon and can't continue on the ballot, they're gonna throw away the whole election and start over? Or does that privilege only extend to Democrats?
