I never got the Michael Savage thing. Over the years I have tried to listen to him and I always walked away not understanding the attraction. But I always questioned myself because lots of conservatives say he is this great broadcaster and I just never understood the guy!
I used to listen to him, and he's always been brash but I didn't have any problems with him until he started attacking his producer on air a few years ago. Paraphrasing:
"Hey, producer. Bring my mic up. One more delay and you're out."
"That's it, you're fired. After this show don't come back. I don't put up with bullshit from anyone."
It didn't sound like he was joking. I don't know but it rubbed me the wrong way so I didn't listen after that.
I didn't know the guy was jewish and it wouldn't matter anyway. I have listened to Savage many times but just don't get his brand of conservatism. Every time I have listened to the the guy he just complains about this and that, and not really addressing any issues.

I have some of his books. Let's just say the Michael Savage of the 2000s was better than the Michael Savage of today.
