Well boys it finally happened - my gf and I had vastly different political views but i thought it was working. We just didn't talk about politics. Until it turned out she was watching msm and was becoming emotionally stressed out about a bunch of TDS fake news and resulted in claiming I have tacit support for white supremacy since I voted for Trump. So yea, slept on it and we're breaking up tonight when I get off work.

True, but political beliefs change. When I first met my partner he was into Reagan and I was the classical young liberal. And now things have switched. He's completely leftist, and I'm MAGA. I don't care that he's leftist. But since I told him I voted for Trump, I've been told that I "disgust" him and that I'm not completely evil, but some part of me must be evil. So I don't know if it's the leftist beliefs that made him so inflexible and kind of hateful or if it's some other component of his character that was always there.

You know how we're always noticing that MAGA people tend to have a bright, happy demeanor, good posture, etc? I'd say look for someone that takes responsibility for their own happiness, as well as having matched religious and political/civic beliefs. If their political beliefs change they won't need you to change with them to make them happy.
