We should not, under any circumstances, repeal 230. Repealing it would mean that all platforms would be held accountable for everything that anyone says on their platform. Facebook and Twitter could be sued over any individual post. They'd have no choice but to censor everyone and everything.

It would be the golden age of unrestrained censorship.

What we need is to strip platforms of their legal ability to silence private citizens. If they want to moderate content, they have to be a publisher, not a platform.
