I am here with you, pede. My job and career path are currently here at a major hospital system. It sucks being torn between a job you truly enjoy and yet having to remember you live in this communist state every day.
Just keep reminding yourself it is not permanent. For me this is just short term until the wife and I hightail it out when my next job opportunity opens up.
Illinois is most certainly not. Chicago is too corrupt and too cucked that it ruins the rest of the state

And now Illinois has a tax hike amendment ("fair tax") on the ballot, which will surely chase away whatever remaining businesses are here.
