We're sick of it here in Chicago too! It's still overrun with idiot liberals for sure. However, I can tell you that the Kim Foxx/Jussie Smollett saga, Lori/JB's lockdowns & hypocrisy, and the BLM riots/looting have the people here PISSED OFF and they are getting red-pilled left, right, and center.
Again, I predict Biden will win Cook County, but I think the raw numbers will surprise a lot of people. If the rest of the State goes red it's possible Illinois actually is in play.

Bruce Rauner won the state in 2014, and Mark Kirk in 2010. So it is possible to win the state (albeit very unlikely).
