I was just told that i couldnt wear my trump 2020 shirt inside the place where I was supposed to vote. The lady said no campaigning inside, i calmy said im not campaigning, im not trying to get anyone here to vote for anybody, she said 'it's just a rule' so i just said I'd be back tomorrow. So just a warning fellow pedes, i dont know if it's like everywhere, but it's like that where i live.

FYI for others (and the OP is 100% correct).

Just wear anything with an American Flag on it. Everyone will know who you are voting for without announcing it.

Around my city, the houses that support Biden have their stupid signs out front to virtue signal. The trump voters just have American flags.

Yeah that’s pretty standard my friend. I think you have to be 500 feet away from the polling place in order to have any sort of political signs etc. That’s why you often see candidates at the entrance parking lot or in the parking lot next-door to a polling place handing out buttons or stickers.

Although it’s interesting to note that they will not turn away people with “Black Lives Matter“ etc. and someone tried to do that in Memphis and they’re probably dead now

BLM insignia is to the left what the American flag is to the right. It’s not a specific endorsement, but it kinda is.

That is a misrepresentation of the rule, but its frowned upon nonetheless.

That's the Law..... we are striving to be a nation of Laws.

Yeah, nothing political is allowed within 100 feet, no verbal campaigning or signs or even apparel. Technically wearing that shirt IS campaigning, but all you needed to do was turn it inside out.

Bless you for voting, but you must vote legally.

My first national election was '76, I was young and Nixon was leaving a bad taste in everyone's mouth and I screwed up and voted for Carter.

At least you're getting your first one correct...

You couldve just turned the shirt inside out, but either way, vote!

Take off the shirt and fold it. Are shirts required for voting?

That's been a rule forever. You can't wear campaign pens or anything that references a candidate or a political party inside of the polling place or even in line. They will have a perimeter that you're not allowed to campaign within.

Looks like I'm going to have to wear my Space Force hat instead

It's considered campaigning, and in Texas, at least, campaigning isn't allowed within 100 feet of the polling location.

Wtf is that even legal? But ya better not wear anyways so heighten their shock the next day.

AceOfTrumps 6 points ago +6 / -0

All 50 states have laws against it... But there's been recent supreme Court decisions striking down overly broad restrictions (e.g. a guy wearing a don't tread on me t shirt)...

Next time just wear a brick suit.
