Michelle Brunetti Post - The Press of Atlantic City, NJ: "Party affiliations continue to switch this year, as former Democratic Congressman Jeff Van Drew, R-2nd, runs for re-election as a Republican and gets help from Democratic political organizer Craig Callaway.

Van Drew said Sunday his campaign is paying Callaway, of Atlantic City, $50,000 to be his advisor and help get out the vote in the city and in Atlantic County.

“I’ve always had good support from the East Asian, Bangladeshi, Vietnamese and Black communities,” among others in Atlantic City, Van Drew said. He wants to be sure they vote, and Callaway will help him do that.

“Craig is there to do what he does. He is a smart guy,” Van Drew said."

Likely that no one outside of South Jersey knows who Craig Callaway is, but those of us who do, know that for decades, he has swayed nearly every local election by way of a masterful use of absentee, mail in and messenger ballots. It is standard procedure for decades to disregard the election day results, as we've become accustomed to those results changing after election day by way of the Callaway organization bringing in - miraculously - just enough mail in / messenger / absentee ballots after the polls have closed to swing the results to whatever candidate (until now, always a dem candidate) he is working for. In 2018, an 'R' candidate for a US House seat said on local radio, after losing in part due to Callaway's magical abilities to deliver votes, that his campaign had been approached by Callaway's people with an offer to work for him, but the candidate did not want to engage in dirty business. Rience Priebus gave an interview a few weeks ago and was asked if he felt that the 'R's should fight ballot harvesting fire with some of their own, and he said they had to this time around, and they were prepared to do so. Anyway, personally, while I understand ballot harvesting is dirty business, it is clear the dems have no issues getting dirty, and there's no doubt this tactic delivers results, also clear if we refuse to fight on their terms we will lose. It is time to fight them on their own terms, I'm glad Van Drew understands this. The dems will only address the issues of voter fraud and ballot harvesting fraud when it works against them, so make it work against them. Keep ahold of the White House, hold the senate, take back the house of reps, by any means necessary - then we can clean up the whole process to root out the corruption once and for all.
