My town located in NJ went democrat for the first time in over 100 years. The Democrat mayor and council are quickly ruining one of the nicest towns in all of NJ. I would regularly go to the towns FB page and just tell my views on how the town has started to decline under the democrats control(True), Well one or more of these people decided it was fair game to contact my employer and complain. While my employer could not make me take down my posts, the subtext was to take it down or else. So I took them down. This is how the left is silencing those on the right. We on the right must create Media and entertainment companies and news organizations to counter this power. The left has co opted every major social institution and they are using this power to not only indoctrinate future generations, but to silence those in the private sector who speak out. We must rollback this leftist menace.

Nah, you should say it would be a shame if I had to take them down. If they get taken down then I guess “insert company name” already has made the stance of censorship public or have they?
I had to delete my entire fb page, hurting my side business, because people were campaigning to contact my employer about my "racism."
Call their bluff ppl...they only have as much power as you let them.
You're not winning any hearts and minds with your Facebook posts. Your wasting your time and hurting yourself.
Get off Facebook, you're literally generating revenue for them.
Stay strong pede, the paradigm shifts on November 4. Play ball in the meantime, don’t risk your livelihood
They doxx you Bc they’re too scared to debate
I kept my FB page clean of politics until I was forced to retire because of health reasons. Then I lit it on fire, lost half a dozen friends, and won't let up. A friend just retired because he's done and it was time. Him too. Haha. I never knew. It was just good business practice to keep politics away but I've noticed, they don't have to. Democrats can say what they want as long as it isn't over the top.
Post anonymously. It’s why the internet was anonymous to begin with. I don’t know why everyone suddenly thought it was ok to post under real identity when Facebook and twitter got popular
I am just a regular Pariotic American who loves his country and loves this President. I am not looking to bust my employer for wanting to stay out of my political views. To be honest if I had faith in our government to actually protect my rights then I may be willing to "test" how my rights will be protected. Unfortunately, I had a really bad experience going through NJ's family court system and to make a long story short, my rights were violated at every turn and that was with the help of a lawyer. I have so little faith in the judiciary that I am not willing to go that route. I find it incredible that we cannot have civil discussions without people trying to fuck with your livilhood. We have got to start building or getting more conservatives into our media, social media and givernment institutions or I fear that the marxists may take over one day.
Part of the problem you are facing, I believe, is that conservatives have abandoned those platforms for the most part, so you don't have anyone in your corner anymore.
It sucks, and it's not right that your employer did that. You have a right to freedom of expression and association.
The real problem is that you felt you didn't have a choice but to take it down.
Shame on your employer for what they've done. If it was from a work account, that might be different.
The direct message was, "You have a right to express your views and I cannot make you take it down, but I would appreciate you not bringing your politics onto FB because it could reflect negatively on you and the company". The subtext of that message was, "Take the posts down, or it cause you problems later". I wasn't forced to take it down per se, but I got the message loud and clear. If your boss calls you about your FB posts you know it really isn't a request.
Be careful of those social media policies. They usually have to get you to sign them for proof you were notified of it, but some employers just add policies without actual notice.
This is called doxxing, and it has been employed as a major strategy for the last several years by left wingers.
if your employer tries to penalize you for your political views, sue them. Record your next meeting with your boss on your phone and get him to imply that there are consequences for your political beliefs.
