Voted with my feet this year and moved out of California.
Registration to vote in the new state went through without a hitch.
Received confirmation today that California had recognized the change of address and confirmed deregistration process complete. I'd been curious whether California ballots would suddenly appear in the mail forwarded to the new address.
We see many trending submissions of irregularities with registration systems. At least in this case, it was nice to see one registration control appear to function correctly during my move. Sharing the data point to provide sense of balance in reporting.
You may have been deregistered, but did they still send a ballot with your name to your old address (and not forward it)?
