It was earlier reported to be the grand mosque in Paris - which is not true.
That's in the Seine-Saint-Denis Department which borders the city of Paris. Of France's 100 departments, Seine Saint Denis has the most immigrants totaling about 22% of the population. This of course does not count those who are the children of immigrants, and France's census does not measure race or ethnicity.
Way back in 2005 it was estimated that about 55% of the Dionysiens under 18 years of age were of migrant backgrounds. This is the future of France, unfortunately. Unemployed, pissed off, and feeling very un-French and un-European. Yes there's violence here, but the cops and federal authorities work super hard to keep a lid on it. However, police are described as "overwhelmed", and they won't be able to keep a lit on things when dozens of French departments are made up of mostly youth from migrant backgrounds.
Edit: I'm informed that this department is home to the basilica that holds the remains of all but three French kings who reigned between the 10th and 18th centuries. Imagine creating a slum of migrants surrounding such a historic and hallowed ground.
Muslim immigrants to the US tend to be better-educated and have more money than those who immigrate to Europe. They can walk to Europe, but it's a lot harder to get here without money.
