I ran a pivot table on this. Foreign contracts/gifts to colleges were 2.7 BILLION in just 2019/2020. Keep in mind this is just self-reported stuff that were considered gifts/contracts.
California tops the list.
China was a measly 150 million but that just means they used means other than self reported gifts/contracts.
