There HAS to be some legit reason..... right??? I hope we get some explanation because I can't think of a single reason why any poll worker would be filling in bubbles on ballots. I voted today (woot!) and after I was handed a ballot, not a single person touched mine after it was given to me. I filled it out and then scanned it into the machine. The only thing I could think of is maybe they're transferring votes from one ballot to another for some reason.. maybe a ballot that was rejected? But I would still think that that is at least not standard and at worst illegal. That is what courts went through in Florida with voter intent and I THINK decided if a vote is rejected, it is rejected. NOT looked at and then some person determines who they THINK they intended to vote for. Or maybe they see a bubble that is not completely filled in and so they're filling in the rest of it. This STILL would seem to be trying to figure out voter intent. What if the voter marked the bubble by mistake and stopped filling it out on purpose? I really need an update with an explanation.
