I am a fed up Canadian wanting to move to the US. I love Canada but I want more freedom, we are over regulated and over taxed here and it’s getting worse and worse. I am fed up with our current immigration system that’s overwhelmed and screwed up our housing market, average house price is 600,000 in Canada now WTF. I know you guys have to be careful on your immigration numbers too but what is your thoughts on taking in Canadians? It’s nearly IMPOSSIBLE for us to move there and become permanent residents. Thanks for reading eh.

You need to talk to my Darling Wife. She's a native Toronton who took US citizenship a couple of decades ago. Now she's talking about how socialist the US is becoming and wants to run back "home".

I keep trying to tell her that it can be worse...

I’ll talk to her lol. It’s so bloody expensive here. She is mistaken. It’s not the Canada she remembers.

Her parents are in Oxford County, and we've been travelling there over the last 15 years (and Ottawa before that). What's more, my Darling Wife has been dealing with the Province and Federal government with regard to her parents affairs. I don't understand why that isn't enough.

If she values freedom, she ought to stay put in the states. I’m afraid of the direction of Canada. We’re being sold out and Canadians are too busy hugging trees rather than dealing with our problems.
