Having witnessed the consistent and endless stream of misrepresentation, quote-mining and cherry picking that happens in r/worldnews the last few days ( well particularly, obviously this behavior extends much further back) it's important that we post counter-evidence to these claims.
If we don't, it will go unchecked. Let's not forget that new users to Reddit have absolutely no opportunity to be exposed to our side of events, because every pro trump forum is made invisible. We need, collectively, to function as checks and balances to this completely unmitigated and endless stream of fake news hit pieces. If we don't, we are bending over; we're allowing the gulag that is reddit to frame reality and determine narratives.
Make no mistake; reddit is a giant skinner box that teaches users over and over and over again that more left=more true. They do it by screening out conservative news sources, prohibiting them from even being able to linked in R/worldnews, and by fostering a culture of leftism through ban bias against conservative viewpoints. The net result is users becoming increasingly incentivised to become more extreme left. It's a coefficient by design.
I'll just come out and say it; if you you're a supposedly serious pede who gives a shit, and you don't post on r/worldnews because you're afraid of getting Karma bombed, you're a ridiculous coward. Because reddit Karma means nothing. If it does to you, you've taken a wrong turn in your life, somewhere.
Secondly, Reddit beats us every day by keeping us contained in an invisible box. We're the kid that has been sent to his room but thinks he's winning because he's playing XBOX in there. It isn't ourselves we need to convince of the corrupt nature of Google, Mainstream media, and the Democratic caucus--it's people on the fence, and people open to seeing reason. We won't reach them confined to R/ The_Donald. We're just preaching to the choir.
Come on people. We're not Leftist SJW fairies who need to gang-up in R/politics and feel like tough guys in a safe space. We're not groupthinkers, we're not pussies. Let's fucking take it to them. If you see a bullshit article on R/worldnews, post counter-evidence. A refutation. If all of us did this even occasionally, it would be extremely effective in eroding the power of Reddit to augment reality. And make no mistake--that is exactly the goal. We're in an information war, a culture war. They are trying to influence the outcome of 2020. And if we keep doing nothing, they'll succeed.
After r/t_d is banned my work on plebbit will begin. Larping far left and rustling the normies will be fun.
Calling people who don't want drag queens giving each other lap dances in their kids classrooms Nazis will be fun.
