Not to put too fine a point on it, but the question really is whether being a white MALE is acceptable.
I have had too many of my white male friends and family members say that they feel on edge out in public because they are seen as the cause of all of the world's problems, looked at with suspicion and unable to be around children not their own.

This is from big and burly, Navy Seal and Marine looking guys. The young kids look at them like they are superheros and the Moms shoo them away and glare like how dare they make eye contact with her, let alone their kids.
Not all the time of course, but it happens enough that white men are shrinking away from societal interactions, in so many ways. It makes me sad.

Oh Jesus, you have my sympathies. All the female Hispanics I have ever know were dangerous to get on their bad side. When they said, "I will cut you" it wasn't an empty threat. The men were always nice to me, flirting constantly, saying I needed to date real men, not those white ghosts. I laughed and said maybe another time we can go out, work schedule, parents had me on a short leash, etc. Never wanted to be seen as disrespecting them in front of their peers. Wise of me to do so?
It has been like this for a long time, and its just getting worse.
Under GEOTUS it has gotten a little better for white men, because someone in authority says their existence has meaning. President Trump is a blessing from God.
