The Leftists intend to socialize everything. They will insert people to run every company and organization, not according to their expertise, but according to how loyal they are to the State.
South Africa will soon have famines and droughts because they are killing the white farmers and “repatriating” their farms to black South Africans who don’t know wtf to do with it.

I just had a discussion yesterday with someone who works with South Carolina landowners who grow hardwoods for furniture. Land in that state is privately owned, and the owners pay attention to the trees.
A tree that is nearing the end of its life cycle becomes very, very flammable, and a lighting strike, for an example, can cause a disastrous fire. The area has a long history of fires, a few the size of the State of Connecticut. That does not happen when the owners cull the trees and underbrush according to lines well known to horticulturalists.
California has large tracts of State-owned land, and the EPA has grants that fund environmental lawsuits. Environmentalists champion forest neglect that ultimately sets the stage for disaster.
