“Something isn’t right, look into it” seems reasonable to me. Requiring an honest investigation to get aid is a good idea.
I haven’t watched much of the endless peachment query, but has anyone implied that Trump wanted fake dirt to be invented to smear Biden? That would be wrong. But if only actual corruption fits the bill, I say drain the swamp.

I’ve been home and watched like 80% of it. Basically, the aid was withheld and there was a rumor which developed into what was believed to be true that the aid was withheld until president zelensky public ally announces an investigation into burisma? The Biden’s?
Unclear. But all of the diplomats and ambassadors believed it to be true. The “whistleblower”s role is hearing the conversation bw trump and zelensky claiming that trump threatened foreign aid if he didn’t investigate hunter biden.
So with the ambassadors believing it to be true and the whistleblower having “direct” knowledge of it being true - schifty thought he can prove it. And doubled down after trump released the transcript saying it’s not a transcript it’s a memo.
Every witness testified that that’s what they thought but no witness had any proof whatsoever of any kind of anything that can even be considered remotely close to a crime let alone impeachable crime.

Trump was asking the Ukrainian president to look into election meddling during the 2016 election. The dems are trying to say because he asked for cooperation with that he was actually trying to get dirt for 2020. Unfortunately for him Biden is mixed up in both past corruption in Ukraine and the coming election. Dems think that the current administration is looking into past crimes for the purpose of affecting the 2020 election. Which is a certainty with how corrupt the Biden and Obama administration were. We want justice. If that affects the election of 2020 we should ignore the past crimes? I hope not.
