Anyone remember digg? Digg was a news aggregate site very similar to reddit. Around 2010 they had a site redesign and started manipulating the front page to display content that wasn't upvoted by the community. This pissed off a lot of the user base and there was a mass exodus to reddit - thousands of users.
Ironically, Reddit stated they would never do such a thing and became the haven for free speech and community driven news. Here they are almost 10 years later doing it on a scale exponentially worse than digg and butchering freedom of speech, engaging in advertising - which their platform was built on saying they would never do so, and data mining the shit out of their users.
GG REDDIT PLZ GO AWAY.
Our exodus will redpill many BIGLY!!
