I confess to being a frequent lurker on T_D. Loved the energy, the brick/coat bots, the memes and of course the hilarious commentary on some of the posts.
I didn't want to make an account on Chicom-Reddit in fear of being Doxxed by deranged Leftists as I'm currently living in a Blue Hell Zone and Paranoid to boot.
So far I've seen quite a few comments from people saying they were lurkers too. I think it would be quite interesting if we could set up some sort of poll to try and gauge how many of us are Ex-lurkers in comparison to the original members of T_D.
I was a very active contributor to T_D until about 6 months ago. I had multiple posts that made it to the front page of reddit, not just TD. I was doxed partly by my own carelessness. I had a couple of posts that featured pictures of my face. I got a threatening message from someone (using a throwaway account) saying they were going to make my employer aware of my T_D activity and they did. I'm smart enough not to access anything through company equipment or networks. I was subjected to a deep audit of my email and computer use though. It's a shitty feeling to be the recipient of that kind of hate. I survived the scrutiny but I'm not going to gloat about it because there perpetrator(s) know where I live and how to stir up more pain.
