Consider that every time someone wants to be done in Syria, a mysterious "chemical attack" happens. There are some possibilities. Russians/Russian-backed insurgents did blow a plane out of the sky. The CIA used Russian equipment to blow a plane out of the sky. The CIA did it using American equipment and are merely blaming the Russians. (remember: no one in the government got their hands on Hillary's server) US "intelligence" put spying equipment on a commercial aircraft and the Russians shot it down. Russia has conducted such a fantastic disinformation campaign, people like me consider the CIA had a hand in it.
