Honestly, I don't even care about physical poll watchers, if they had other ways of keeping stuff secure. They should just get a go pro or some type of camera at EVERY counting station, attached to a mount and looking down at EVERY ballot. Then, they save and mark down the recording of EACH individual batch, with the name of the person doing the counting, along with keeping all batches of ballots seperate and labeled. That way you can review the exact footage for every batch, and it BETTER match.
If any problems arise, they can just go back and review the recording, and whichever worker was assigned to that station takes the blame. If any recordings are missing, the county takes the blame, and that batch is invalidated.
That way you have a record of EVERY ballot, they can't bitch about covid social distancing, and you have personal accountability to deter people from fucking around.
With the amount of money spent on all this shit, its peanuts for what it would cost for a few hundred go pros.
There's a hundred other ways to keep this shit secure, too. It ain't hard to do. There's not a single good excuse for the shit they've done, other than wanting to cheat.
