Truth is, I would be willing to go along with all of these COVID restrictions, if they had a scientific basis.
This virus, thank God, is much less serious for most of our population than, for example, the flu. It is real, it is nasty, but we also have ways to deal with it that are easy, cheap, and widely available. The problem is, our State governments have refused to acknowledge this.
My local newspaper is having conniptions over the number of cases (positive tests, not illnesses) and hospitalizations.
It turns out those unmitigated assholes at the public clinics will test for COVID in a symptomatic patient, get a positive result, and then SEND THEM HOME UNTREATED, waiting for them to get really sick. They are not using outpatient therapy to avoid hospitalization.
This is not how we treat the flu. Why are we treating this dangerous COVID that way?
They know and expect that, within 2-3 weeks, the people they have diagnosed will be sick enough to be hospitalized, may have permanent organ damage, and may die, and yet they refuse early, reliable treatment.
Proof:
"As is the case with Halloween, the community can expect hospitals to feel the effects of these cases in three to three-and-a-half weeks. That’s generally how long it takes for those infected to realize they’re sick, **get tested, convalesce at home, then go to their local medical center once their symptoms worsen **to the point that staying home no longer seems safe."
Not only that, but the burden of disease is concentrated in our working-class people. It shows up in a huge shift in cases. Early cases were evenly distributed by race. Now hispanics dominate, well out of proportion to their numbers.
The Great State of California is producing a disparate impact on hispanics, possibly by giving them misinformation and poor treatment at public testing facilities.
TLDR: If you or a loved one get sick, start treatment as soon as possible with zinc and an ionophore. I use zinc 95mg and Quercetin 500 mg. 5-day course of treatment, twice the first day, once for the next 4 days. I don't use them because they are a miracle cure. I use them because they are available over-the-counter at the local health food store. You don't need a miracle cure in the very early stages of infection. I also take daily C 1g, D 5,000-10,000IU and a multivitamin with trace selenium.
If you aren't vastly improved by day 3, see your doctor. This treatment is also gangbusters on the common cold and the creeping crud.
