Liberals also generally live lives in complete contradiction to their stated values because they always think they are an exception to their own rules.
The result is massive cognitive dissonance and bad assumptions which ruins any sense of objectivity or reason.
Think of a liberal governor who tells people to stay home for thanksgiving while he flys home to see his family. He truly believes people should stay home but somehow thinks he’s not included in the people who should follow the rules.
Or a liberal doctor who thinks covid is dangerous or Hydroxychloroquine doesn’t work. He knows a flu with 99.96% survival rate is not dangerous. He knows that masks don’t filter virus particles. He also knows how to read white papers on Hydroxychloroquine, but he truly believes in science so he trusts whatever the top scientist at the CDC says, even if it’s a politically motivated lie or makes no sense, logically or medically.
