Keep in mind, there is no Constitutional "President Elect", even after the electoral college votes. You're either sworn in as president, or you're Average Joe (no pun intended, but appropriate anyhow). There's no provision to bump someone else into the spot. If that turns into a shit show, it gets passed to the House with 1 vote per state.
