War is already here. I don't think escalation to full-scale kinetic total annihilation is inevitable. There are several outcomes where a strategic alliance between Russia, India, Japan, and the U.S. force China's surrender. The only requirement for this outcome is that the U.S. restores the Republic, stops surrendering, establishes reciprocal trade agreements, and stops enabling Chinese hegemony. Before Trump I would never have thought it possible. All of the other nations in the region would rather deal with a peaceful and stable Republic over a totalitarian dictatorship like China.
