True that infertile people are definitely edge, and abused kids occur a bit more often than infertile people, but I also think it’s fair to point that there are heavy cases of abuse and cases where parents are wholly unhappy, fight and bicker, divorce and kids are affected by that as well. My parents weren’t abusive per se, but they were poor parents in some regards and I wouldn’t call them mature (though I did love them and they still had their positive points). Anecdotal yes, but I know of quite a few people in a similar boot. All in all, I’d say having a kid MIGHT make 2/3 of parents mature, but it being closer to 50/50 wouldn’t surprise and I’d still not link maturity specifically to having a child in any concrete way, but that’s just my own opinion.
