30 mLs is one ounce. Administering 300 mLs of medicine to a patient would most likely be administered through a bag into an IV. The largest syringe we normally use are 60 cc and those are mainly for administering meds through a g-tube. Most IV syringes are 10-20 mLs max. This nurse clearly wasn't critically thinking or thinking at all.
