China is a true communist state in that communism is when the elite control everything and exploit the people. China does not give housing, food, or healthcare, although many people think they do. They get nothing.

USSR at least pretended to be “ideal” communism by having state programs for those things. Which of course didn’t help anyone because the people didn’t work hard (hence the Soviet phrase “They pretend to pay us, we pretend to work) China does not even do that. They just fuck everyone.

It’s actually one reason why Chinese citizens are so good at saving money. upwards of 20% and more is the average savings of income by Chinese citizens. They do this because the state gives them nothing. Only takes. So saving money is their only opportunity to have those things (which is a good fiscal trait to have, just sad it comes from desperation from being bent over and raped by the CCP)
