We count 1/10th of the military among our ranks, the nation's most important port, one of the most important central intercontinental airports, a significant portion of petroleum infrastructure, multiple defense contractors, top tier semiconductor fabrication, half the supersonic nuclear bomber fleet, if we were our own country we could join OPEC and would be one of the world's largest petroleum exporters, and our state rifle association has so much clout it gets generally 95% of its agenda passed with the blessing of the people, who are the most heavily armed free populace on the planet.
