"This is not true. Most people do not even take the proper kind of vitamin C. They take ascorbic acid, which is much less beneficial. Additionally, they do not consume enough of it (again, the RDA is woefully inadequate). And there is also intraveinous vitamin C, which is never talked about, and has benefits and curative properties all its own."
You're right about IV vitamin C having a different pharmacological profile than vitamin C taken orally. However, most claims made about oral vitamin C have been proven false. There's not enough research to determine if the same is true for IV vitamin C. That's just it. Because there is not enough research on IV vitamin C, you can't really claim that "this is not true". With the evidence available at this point in time there is nothing that supports the claim that excess vitamin C is good for you. When it comes to IV vitamin C, we'll just have to wait for more clinical studies. It would be nice if they find new uses for it.
"They take ascorbic acid, which is much less beneficial." Ascorbic acid IS vitamin C.
In a nutshell: Move your ass and don't eat garbage. That's all we can really do. The rest is genes and luck.
Anyways, these are really interesting subjects to discuss. Have an upTrump.
