Member as well and voted for him, but I'm from the Southern part of the US so whatever reputation he has is virtually unknown here. We just figured he'd be better than Obama. How much better? Hard to say.

What I like to call the Bernie Syndrome is present on the right side of politics just as much as on the left. If your preferred candidate doesn't get the primary, packing up your toys and going home is nothing but a win for the bigger opposition. You take what you get and use it as an opportunity to shift the window. That's exactly how Obama and the latest cavalcade of morons (i.e. "the Squad") in the Democrat party got elected. Twenty years ago a Puerto Rican bartender or a nobody Somali immigrant, both espousing socialist ideals, wouldn't have had a snowball's chance at even getting their campaign going.
