One puff per 30 seconds minimum, preferably per 60 seconds. Biggest mistake new guys make is puffing too often. The cigar gets hot, wet and awful-tasting, burns crooked, just UGH!
Enjoy! I think I'll pull one out too and have a porch smoke. Been reorganizing and inspecting my aging collection lately (looking for mold and other problems, checking the humidifiers, etc.) and I have some samples pulled from the 2005, 2009, 2011 and 2016 sections that I'm going to try in the coming days. Yum!
Oh, and they get better with age... often MUCH better. It's pretty amazing sometimes, a "meh" new cigar turns into a really nice cigar a few years later, or a nice one turns into WOW! years later.
It's one of the most fun parts of the hobby! Does require frequent monitoring of calibrated hygrometers and other effort, and significant up-front expenses buying cigars to basically not touch for years, but WORTH IT!
