The serious side effects were around 1% and 6% of those were attributed to bells palsy. This disease not only causes facial paralysis, but can also cause extreme pain and imbalance of motor skills. Also, of the patients in the study, 638 of them had to take either pain medications to control pain, or were given anti-nausea meds to stop vomiting. That's messed up
