There were more than a few reports of fraud shenanigans suspected in the blue areas of the state. In Travis County (Austin) poll watchers were kept on the opposite side of the room, behind plexiglass. Pollsters didn't respond to questions, and if they tapped on the glass to get attention they were accused of causing a disturbance.

Eventually the poll watcher was trespassed (police escorted out) from the property, even though he could cite and show the exact law that specified he was not only legally authorized to be there, but, allowed to be within a short distance to be able observe the process and ballots.

If pressed in court they just "apologize" and "promise" to do it better next time (after the election and they've accomplished what they needed the poll watcher to be across the room, (or gone) in order to accomplish).
