I understand the concern. But naw, it wouldn't happen that way.
This is still the main portal. 100% of the Donald traffic would still be here. Still a huge party. The subs would mostly be inactive until something local went down. Or say somebody got bored after seeing all the sticky's in the main and decided to venture in to the local areas for more fun.
Maybe an election, rally details, who to vote for, etc. (Keep in mind with our current format, 99% of all posts get buried in 5 minutes, and disappear due to the sheer volume of posts! We do need a way to differentiate them so they can stay at the top longer... the way to do that would be to specialize in subs...)
Just like now, how most people check "HOT", under a subs scheme, "HOT" would be where all the action would stay.
